UPDATE: apparently he was both drunk AND lost. He’s friends with my roommates and is now passed out on the couch

My 21st birthday is on Monday, but I can’t celebrate with the family because summer classes start on- you guessed it- Monday. And my University is four hours away from where my family lives, so we celebrated my birthday today.

And my sister gave me CUTEST GIFT EVER AND I NEED HELP NAMING ITTTTTTTT (obnoxious new mother on facebook style pics after the cut)

Incidentally, if I ever start a band I want it to be called “Interracial Tadpoles Embracing”. Or if I have my own restaurant. Or a business of any kind really.

So (sticking to the movieverse where Ori is youngest in the company) I can’t stop thinking about how much I want Ori to be bffs with Fili and Kili because he would totally be the Hermione (Hermori?) of the trio and keep their shenanigans in check and save their dumb asses all the time and then they wouldn’t die and oh shit I made myself sad I’m gonna go sit in the corner now

hOLY SHIT YOU GUYS (warning, equal parts hilarious and gross)

I was just talking to my Dad (who has just come home from a job that was several hours away- he had been at this job for a while now, he left on Christmas day) and he sounded really sniffley and sick over the phone so i asked him if he was ok and he was like “Yes, just a cold” and then my mom was like “NO YOU NEED TO ASK YOUR FATHER ABOUT HIS NOSE”

So I did. 

Apparently he was on a job where they were pouring cement. Cement comes in a powder form, and has to be mixed with water and then left alone for a while so that it can solidify. So as they were mixing it with the water my dad walked by where it was being mixed and POOF a huge cloud of powdered cement covered him. He cleaned himself up, and no one thought anything of it, because he had his safety glasses and all that stuff on. He finished his day at work then returned to the hotel and went to sleep.

When he woke up the next morning he realized that his nose was plugged up even worse than it had been the previous day. It felt like there was some solid mass up there…

I’m sure you’ve put the pieces together at this point. Some of the powder concrete had gone up his nose and mixed with with his snot. Then it was left to set overnight.

Oh yes, my father had bits of solid concrete up his nose. I can’t even imagine how long it took him to clean it all out (with, like tweezers and medical scissors). My poor Daddy.

And as much as I pity him, I also couldn’t help but to laugh my ass off

He doesn’t find this nearly as funny as my mom and I do

Sitting on a couch in the library and this guy was laying on the couch across from me for a while then just now he had this awful hacking/coughing fit and ran away and he left his hat on the couch 

omg i hope he’s ok??

So he just came back with a water bottle and I asked if he was ok and he said he was and now he’s back on the couch sleeping
